Welcome to the  “Visit Essex” May newsletter

This month we will be covering some of our wonderful festivals and events which are taking place in Essex (for all tastes and ages), with something going on practically every weekend throughout the whole of summer. To give you a taste of the sheer diversity of events see below!   The Visit Essex Team    Click on link in each case for more details.

The Colchester Medieaval and Oyster Fayre Market

4 & 5 June   Lower Castle Park
A full medieval style fayre, with many of the peripheral activities that this major annual event of the period would have offered. It remembers a time when folk from the countryside and neighbouring villages would have travelled to the "Big Fayre" in town.  Lots to buy, including oysters (of course!) and many people in costume.
