Free Parking on Saturdays in the run up to Christmas

Rochford District Council has agreed to free parking in its car parks all day on the three Saturdays before Christmas.

On December 5, 12 and 19 motorists will be able to park free all day in the Council’s car parks.

Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Enterprise, Councillor Mike Steptoe, said: “Christmas is fast approaching and the Council wishes to do all it can to assist both residents and businesses within our District.

“Through careful budgeting and first class management by the Council’s officers, we are delighted to be able to continue with what has now become our traditional free parking on the four Saturdays in the run up to Christmas.

“This is just one of the many initiatives we run to support our local economy and encourage residents to shop locally.

“May this small gesture go some way to ensure that you and your family have a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.”
