Book Sale: A trolley in our foyer available at all times.


Events: Some events don’t make it here so look out for our posters.


Ancestry: We have an experienced volunteer offering monthly taster sessions to introduce you to using

Ancestry Online for FREE. Booking is required, just ask staff.


Book Club: We have a couple of book clubs who gather at the library, usually monthly.

Just ask staff if you wish to join one or start up your own.

Tuesday 3rd  From 10am   Knit and Natter

From beginner to advanced welcome. Bring along your projects and share your skills and ideas. We work on group projects and individual creations. No need to book, just pop along.


Friday 6th From 10am   Ancestry

Free ½ hour taster sessions to introduce you using Ancestry online. Booking required.


Thursday 12th to Thursday 26th Rochford Arts Festival 2019

We are delighted to be part of this year’s local Art Festival. Pop in to see Artist’s displays throughout the fortnight.


Saturday 21st 10-11am   Councillors

Meet your local councillors representing Hawkwell East & West Ward, discuss queries you may have.


Tuesday 24th 10-12noon   Health & Wellbeing

We are holding a Health & Wellbeing event, pop in for free information and advice. Refreshments and nibbles available.



Weekly events for children held at the library


Wishing Well Centre: Baby & Toddler session. Restarting Tues 10th. Every Tuesday (term time only) 9:45-10:15am. Stories & rhymes for all young children.


 Baby & Toddler: Stories and rhymes for all 0-5yrs. Restarting Friday 13th. Every Friday (term time only) 2-2:30pm.  Now with music.


Block Builders Construction Club: Now every Saturday join us 10-11:30am and get creative with big or small bricks.



Weekly training held at the library


Computer Training: Not sure where to start? We can help you to start using a computer. Ask staff for details.


Job Club: Drop in sessions every Friday from 10am - 12noon. Get help the Universal Job Match, applying online & CV’s.


Tablet Tuition: Free ½ hour sessions every Thursday morning. Get hints and tips on using your tablet. We can also help with other tech like mobile phones and laptops. Booking required.
