Charity Headshave!!! Wednesday 7th March 2018
One of our Peaceful Place Support Workers had his head shaved recently to raise funds for our Members, who have Young Onset Dementia. Marcin Olszewski is 29 and has been growing his hair for over a year and a half. He had the idea back in January that he would shave off his luscious locks for our charity! The Day Centre Manager, Maggie Millington was in charge of the scissors & clippers!!! A massive "Thank you" to all those who sponsored Marcin, as he raised a fantastic £453.75
The money will go towards Daytrips out and Activities & Entertainment for the Members to help improve their quality of life.
Chocolate Pizza Making!!! Wednesday 21.3.18
Members enjoyed a chocolate making session when Chocolate Studio came into the day centre recently. It was very interesting to learn about all the different types of chocolate & cocoa beans. Members were helped to melt the chocolate and then pour it into special Pizza boxes, where it set in a perfect circle to make a Chocolate Pizza base! A variety of sweets were then used to decorate them! Members took a lovely treat home to their families! Delicious!!!
