21st Birthday Party!!! (1996-2017) Friday 22nd September 2017
The Mill Hall in Rayleigh was the venue for a fantastic Party to celebrate the 21st Birthday of the Charity, which was originally started at Shoebury Baptist Church by Mr Tom Stradling in 1996. The evening was attended by 125 people, who enjoyed a delicious Buffet and then had fun dancing the night away to a Live Band called "The FBS Band". A Magician also entertained Guests at their tables!
The Party was for the Members & their Families, plus to thank all the Staff & Trustees for their hard work and the Volunteers for all of their help over the years. All the Volunteers from the Charity Shop & Day Centre, plus Fundraisers were presented with a Gift by the CEO Jeffrey Hansen & Fundraising Manager, Caroline Gerrard.
Lyn Smee, who has been the Charity's longest serving Admin & Fundraising Volunteer for the last 10 years, was presented with a special gift of flowers and a beautiful crystal vase. Fundraising Manager, Caroline Gerrard said, "We are delighted that so many people were able to join us at our 21st Birthday Celebration. Our staff and volunteers are an integral part of the service we provide, supporting people under 65 living with dementia and this event gave us the opportunity to thank them for their valued contribution".
Everyone had a brilliant time and the evening was a great success!
