The award winning Shop At My Local campaign has launched a brand new website to further help boost local trade.
The Shop At My Local scheme aims to help businesses in the District connect with shoppers. When a shopper signs up they get access to a range of exclusive special offers and discount vouchers offered by businesses who themselves are part of Shop At My Local.

Already 442 businesses are part of the campaign offering special deals and vouchers to more than 800 shoppers across the District.
The new website, at offers much more choice and help both to shoppers who are already signed up to the Shop At My Local scheme as well as new people who join.

Among the features of the new website are: a simpler layout offering easy navigation, an easy-to-view business map of the area and the ability to get involved with the campaign on Facebook and Twitter.

The Shop At My Local scheme is the result of a unique partnership between Rochford District Council, the Chambers of Trade for Rochford, the Chambers of Trade for Hockley, the Chambers of Trade for Rayleigh, Parish and Town Council’s and the Federation of Small Businesses.

The Leader of Rochford District Council, Councillor Terry Cutmore, said: “The Council has always pledged to do its best to make a difference to our local economy and, having seen the great work that has already been done with the Shop at My Local campaign, I am excited about its future and hope the new easy-to-use website encourages more of our residents and local businesses to sign up.”

Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Tourism, Heritage, the Arts, Culture and Business, Councillor Keith Gordon, added: “Shop At My Local is an ambitious scheme that helps to encourage trade in the District and offer businesses a platform to network with each other which can only be good news in these difficult economic times.
