Rochford Scouts - April 2015

(Tesco visits and at Belchamps & Renewal of Promise)

 4th Rochford Scout Group visit Tesco!!!   

14th & 21st April 2015

The Beavers & Cubs had meetings with a difference this month!!! They went along to do the “Farm to Fork Trail” at the Tesco Superstore in Prince Avenue!

They got to go inside the big freezer, which was an Arctic -20 degrees Celsius!!! They also visited the bakery to learn about bread making!

Each young person was given a work book to complete, by finding different produce & ingredients around the store. They finished off with some cheese tasting.

They then took the work books home to look through their cupboards & fridges, to note down the different countries where the food came from.

Those that completed their homework book received a badge at their next meeting!!!

4th Rochford Scout Group!!! Cubs v Akela!!!

On Friday 24th April 2015, the Cubs enjoyed their pack meeting in the fresh air at Belchamps in Hawkwell!!!

They played Human Table Football against the grown ups (including Akela) and the Cubs won 14-9 !!! Excellent result!!!
