Rochford Scouts - December 2018

4th Rochford Beavers & Scouts sing Carols at Broadoaks Care Home! Tuesday 11th December 2018

25 Beavers & Scouts were all in fine voice with their Leaders to entertain the Residents of “Broadoaks” Care Home in Rochford with all of their favourite Carols and Xmas Songs on this annual visit!  The Residents really enjoyed singing along with the children, whose ages ranged from just 5 to 16 years old. The children showed kindness and respect to the Residents as they chatted to them afterwards. hen everybody enjoyed a well-earned drink, mince pies, cupcakes and crisps, kindly donated by the Co-op at Golden Cross in Ashingdon. So, a big “thank you” to the Co-op and also to Sonya Crosby, the Manager of “Broadoaks”, for making everyone so welcome as usual. A great start to the “Countdown to Christmas”!

Care Assistant, Sybil Medland said, “The Residents thoroughly enjoyed the children coming to visit, to sing Carols & Christmas songs with them and they look forward to it every year”.
