4th Rochford Scouts Murder Mystery Play!!!
Saturday 20th June
A packed Scout hall raised over £550 towards our wheelchair accessible toilet & shower project!
The audience, including a table led by Cllr Heather Glynn, of Rochford District Council, laughed their way through the outrageous performance of "An Inn Spectre Calls" by the strong cast of The Canewdon Players.
Among the many highlights were Bernard's little Oscar, Claire Voyant's seance performance and Eric's protestation of his name!!!
Who dunnit? Ah, well, that would be telling!!!
4th Rochford Scouts Summer Fete!!!
Saturday 27th June
The perfect weather on Saturday certainly helped the Summer Fete to be a resounding success, along with all the hard work put in by the kids, leaders & parents!!!
Stalls included football shootout, a human fruit machine, a lolly stick treasure hunt, hoopla, tombola, hook a duck, close the box, shooting cans, coconut shy, self-
To keep energy levels up in the warm sunshine, refreshments were provided in the form of a beer tent, a bbq & a homemade cake stall. Beavers challenged parents to shooting lemonade bottle rockets and it was pretty much a draw.
The Scouts challenged parents to tent pitching! The parents finished first, but their tent was actually inside out!!!
There was also a "Fast & Furious Family History" Stall, where you could get 10 minutes of rapid look-
The total money raised was a fantastic £1695 (Raffle £884 & Fete £811)
