Organisations 4th Rochford Scouts

4th Rochford Scouts "Badges, Burgers & Bangers Bash"!!!

Tuesday 1st November 2016

We had a fantastic turnout for this annual Group Event!!!

Combining the annual AGM with badge presentations, followed by a BBQ and fantastic firework display, made the evening a great success!   We were very honoured to be joined by Cllr. Mrs. Lesley Butcher, Vice Chairman of Rochford District Council and Paul Stafford, the Deputy District Commissioner for the Crouch Valley, who were very impressed to hear about all the fantastic activities that the whole Group do!    Numbers have increased so much in the last year that we have had to start a 2nd Cub Pack!!!

Well done to all the kids who were presented with their new Activity Badges! A great achievement!  A fun evening, getting all the parents and the kids from the whole Group together for “Badges, Burgers & Bangers”!!!

4th Rochford Scouts Remembrance Day Church Parade!!!

13th November 2016

There was a great gathering (totalling about 70) at St. Andrew’s Church in Rochford, of Leaders, Beavers, Cubs & Scouts, along with their families for the Remembrance Day Service!  It was a beautiful sunny day for a beautiful service, conducted by the Rev. Kim Lepley.  All the kids were very respectful at the Service and especially during the 2 minute silence. They also laid a wreath at the Church to remember all those that lost their lives.  Afterwards, the entire Group marched to the War Memorial in Weir Pond Road, Rochford, where they joined other members of the Public for another short Service by the Reverend and to observe a further 2 minute silence. They also laid another wreath at the foot of the Memorial. The Rev. Kim Lepley said that it was a lovely morning and that all the children were wonderful.
