Foulness Island Bike Ride
The Rotary Club of Thorpe Bay is offering you the chance to saddle up in support of a good cause with the Foulness Island Bike Ride on September 11, 2011.
The Chairman of Rochford District Council, Councillor Simon Smith, will not just be helping to start the charity event, but also taking part in the 23 mile ride which starts at Great Wakering Primary School.
The ride is organised by the Rotary Club of Thorpe Bay in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, QinetiQ and Foulness Parish Council.
This year, money raised will go to supporting the Southend-on-Sea Lifeboat Boathouse Project and riders are invited to raise sponsorship to support this vital local service which ensures local residents and visitors alike can enjoy the coastline safely.
