Essex Wildlife Trust has many fantastic events taking place across the county in the next few weeks. Join us at:

Fingringhoe Wick Visitor Centre
Run for Wildlife - Saturday 15th October, Registration 8.30am - 10am
Trail race organised by Colchester Harriers AC. Walkers and runners welcome. Long course 13 miles (mainly off road) / short course 5 miles. Starting and finishing at Fingringhoe Wick. £5.00 affiliated / £6.00 non-affiliated. The route will be found by written narrative.

Abberton Reservoir Visitor Centre
Birding Day Out - Sunday 16th October, 10am - 4pm
Join our expert leaders for a day of field trips to various local sites. We'll use our up-to-date local knowledge to take you to the best places to see the birds. Bring a packed lunch. Donation £20.00 per person. Numbers are limited so please book early.

Bedfords Park Visitor Centre
Autumn Apple Day - Sunday 16th October, 10am - 4pm
Join us at Bedfords Park to celebrate all things autumn, with a range of locally grown apples and apple juice for sale, craft tables, children's activities and more. Free event, donations requested for some activities.

Hanningfield Reservoir Visitor Centre
Introduction to Autumn Birds - Sunday 16th October, 10am - 12.30pm
Join David Petts for an enjoyable introduction to birdwatching. An interesting time as the summer migrants leave and the winter migrants start arriving. Donation £5.00 per person. Please contact the visitor centre for further details or to book your place.

Thorndon Countryside Visitor Centre

All Essex Wildlife Trust visitor centres have fun and exciting events for children of all ages. School holiday activities including family events for under 8's, drop off and pick up sessions for 8+ and pre-school activities for under 5's.
