Buy with Confidence is an approved trader scheme which has been set up to assist residents to find reputable local businesses. The scheme is run by a partnership of local Trading Standards services, including the unitary authorities of Southend-
Businesses are audited by Trading Standards to ensure they comply with consumer protection legislation and only once they pass can they display the Buy with Confidence logo and be entered onto the website. Approved businesses are monitored on a regular basis and feedback is invited from their customers. If member companies fall below acceptable standards, they may be expelled from the scheme. The scheme also allows for an arbitration service in instances where the business and the consumers cannot achieve a satisfactory resolution.
There are many benefits to joining the scheme including: the use of the Buy with Confidence logo to use on stationery, vehicles and in promotional materials, entry onto the Buy with Confidence website directory and promotional advertising undertaken by Trading Standards.

There is no charge for this service.
