Calling all Knitters
The next time you see this wool it will probably be around trees in Hockley Woods on the Wild Woods Day on June 2nd!
Information and updates can be found on Jesssica’s blog:
www.essexknit-together.blogspot.co.uk
Date: Friday 4th May 1.15pm
Venue: Rayleigh Windmill
Activity: A ‘Knit-Together’ knitting drop-in with Jessica Worley

Jessica explained: “We are getting together doing knitting and crocheting, making decorations for the Hockley Wild Woods Day on the 2nd June. We’re hoping to wrap the trees, almost like jackets. It may be a few trees or just one large tree, depending how much knitting we manage to do. It’s just fun, and to make people smile, and really it’s just people from the community getting together to do something together. I’m also doing a couple of sessions in schools. It’s a skill-sharing, cross generational project that results in fun and decoration for the day. On the day we’ll be doing activities where people can come and join in with knitting and add to what it there. This is just one three hour session today, our second session, and we hope for others. If people go to my blog I encourage them to come along or knit themselves and contribute to the project. Afterwards we’ll be taking it down and then putting it up at the Chelmsford Torch event and then we may use it in schools to encourage knitting.”
