Saturday 26th March - Rochford Primary Launches out with its first Farmers’ Market
Whereas it is usually the policy of Rochford Life to restrict it’s reporting to either the occupants or those who work in Rochford or Ashingdon, because of the nature of the Farmers Market we include all those who participated in the market today and on behalf of the school thank them for being part of it.

8.00am on a somewhat grey Saturday morning, the doors are open, the Head and members of the PTA are there and the hall is about to be cleared in preparation for the Market. There is a general buzz and there’s going to be a lot of activity before the doors open to the public at 9.30. Eventually all is ready and we’ll make our way around the room to visit each stall holder
First, inside the doors, is Daniel Meads from the McCarthy’s Country Stores, Brentwood with cakes, flans, more cakes, cheesecakes and then bread, bread and more bread of every shape and size.
On the other side of the room was the ChilliChutneyMan – Bryn Taylor, from Leigh on Sea - everything made from home, chutneys galore....
Back on the other side of the room, Bev Bell of Little Buskins Farm Shop - along Canewdon Road - find them on the Website .......
... and next to them, Leanne of Home Fayre Cakes – from Basildon, with yet more and more great looking cakes...
.... then we come to Elixirs of Life – Gill Wade from Canvey Island - handmade natural skin and Hair and Body Products. “We travel to Farmers Markets throughout the county to sell them, and also through a webshop. Mail order and Amazon.“ www.elixirsoflife.co.uk
